S4 & 5 Arena Nyårsåsen

The fourth and fifth stages are at Nyårsåsen, which is a large forested ridge, rising up out of the Halland plains. Nyårsåsen is maybe best known as a shooting and training area for everyone who did their military service in Halmstad. At a relatively good walking distance from the regement you arrive at the shooting field and the arena for the final stages.

The training area on the south side of the ridge is mostly made up of a mixture of fully grown oak and pine forest and includes some felled areas and plantations, as there has been almost no forest work in the training area.

On the longer courses there will even be a fair amount of beach forest. The ridge is relatively flat on the top, but has steep and detailed slopes in all directions.
