"Trail-O force me to think"
Bertil Ståhl from Kalmar OK is one of about 100 orienteers that compete in O-Ringen Trail-O. "I like Trail-O since I have to think all the time. Every detail at the control points has to be analysed to have it all right."
The third stage of O-Ringen Trail-O was held at Arena Ön, the same as MTB-O use for the two first stages.
When our particpants leave the arena, the mountinbike guys is coming. You feel the fellowship and it shows the breadth of the sport orienteering", says Fredrik Böregård, who is head of the O-Ringen Trail-O.
Precisionsorienerarna bjuds denna vecka precis som orienterarna på vitt skilda terrängtyper med flack tallskog, stenbrottsterräng och sanddynsterräng. Den tredje etappen bjöd på granskog med några kontroller vid branta höjder.
Trail-O suits people who can't or don't want to run orieentering or as complement to learn to read the map better. If you want to try this form of orienteering, it is possible to do that at Arena Ön during Wednesday with start between 10.00-12.00.
