Entries to the junior elite classes at O-Ringen Värmland 2017 will be open until Friday the 21st of July at 12.00. Each of these classes is expected to have 120 competitors.
The preliminary ranking list will be published July 7th and will be based on entries made through July 1st. The list includes 140 runners and is organized as follows:
Example: 31 runners registered for the D18E class participated at JWOC or EYOC 2017. These are automatically granted places in the class. This means 115 – 31 = 84 places remain to be distributed. Sweden had 48% among top 50 in D18E at O-Ringen 2016, and as of July 1st 72% of the signed up runners were Swedish. This means the number of national places for Sweden is 60% * 84 runners = 50 runners. These runners are selected according to the Swedish ranking list as of 1st of July. JWOC/EYOC runners are excluded from the list.
The proportion of nation places will be published at www.oringen.se no later than June 7th.
The selection list will be published no later than July 22nd and will include 120 runners. It will be based on the same rules as the ranking list, but will also include runners who signed up by the final entry deadline (21st of July at 12.00). The selection list will be organized in the same way as the ranking list:
A reserve list including 20 runners, based on the same rules as for the selection list, will be published at the same time as the selection list. In case of cancellations from runners on the selection list, runners from the reserve list will be added according to the reserve list order. Cancellations shall be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 15.00 Saturday 22nd of July.
To claim a place in the elite class, runners on the reserve list have to confirm their interest to email@example.com no later than 12.00 Saturday 22nd of July. Please note that this confirmation can also be done before the final selection.
Runners who are not selected for the elite class will be moved to the corresponding main class.
