Amanda shows that O-Ringen is for everyone.

Amanda Svensson from Filipstads OK has a hip problem which makes it difficult to walk. Usually she is in a wheelchair but this week she participates in the Inskolning category. Together with her mum she has finished three stages this week and she is about to start on the final stage.

It works fine to walk the course but it gets a bit to long to the start. At the second stage it was possible to take the wheelchair to the start. At the other stages the organizers have fixed a ride with a motorized quadricycle.

– We are so greatful for everything the organizers help us with. It’s really great that everyone can participate at O-Ringen, says Amanda’s mum.

How has the week been?

– It’s been good. We take everything in our pace. It was a bit tough the other day when we had to get down the slope. We eat a lot of blueberries and raspberries, tells mum.

– You are the one who eats raspberries, says Amanda.

Amanda shows that O-Ringen is for everyone. It’s just a matter of will and desire.
