We are offering three different training maps ahead of O-Ringen 2019. They feature three completely different terrain types, all located in Kolmården’s famous forests.
The Borgsmo map (will be released on July 1st) is located close to the location of this summer’s O-Ringen City. It is essentially within the city of Norrköping and is quite easy to get to. This map is good for training MTBO, as well as lower difficulty levels of foot orienteering. Mixed in with this map’s extensive trail networks are areas that will offer a true test of orienteering technique.
The training maps Glotternskogen and Kolmårdens Tak (avaliable now) will be familiar to many orienteers who have competed here through the years. The terrain consists of a mix of open, pine-covered hilltops and denser areas with marshes and blueberry bushes. Runnability is good, and climb totals can be expected to be medium to high. These are the mostly technically challenging O-Ringen 2019 training areas.
Purchase the map by clicking Book/entry. The maps are available for pickup at Competitor Services at O-Ringen City. If you want to get the maps earlier by mail, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org after you purchased the maps.
The training package shows suggested courses for four different difficulty levels on each map and the locations of 25-30 training controls that have been placed. Control descriptions are available here.
