Tove Alexandersson seems unstoppable at O-Ringen. On Sunday she won the long distance in Skjutsbol by a wide margin and today she was the fastest in the sprint in central Arvika.
The victory margin to the 2nd, Russian Svetlana Mironova was 43 seconds. An ocean apart when it comes to sprint orienteering. Third was Karolin Ohlsson.
In the men's class, the sprint specialist Jonas Leandersson was one of the favorites before the start. And he won, but with a significantly smaller margin than Tove. William Lind was only six seconds after. Third was Norwegian Eskil Kinneberg.
In the junior classes the winners were Isac von Krusenstierna (H20), Linnéa Golsäter (D20), Kasper Fosser (H18) and Victoria Haestad Björnstad (D18).
Thousands of people lined the streets of Arvika during the competition, something orienteers are not used to, even if they are called Tove Alexandersson.
