The entire team that represented Sweden at the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) in Estonia earlier this month has been invited to attend the O-Ringen opening ceremonies. Make sure to stop by to for a chance to get an autograph from some of the Swedish stars and to celebrate their successes at WOC!
The team will be signing autographs at 4pm, and the celebration will begin at 4:30pm on Saturday, July 22.
You can now see the preliminary campsite assignments on our website. We will publish an update version before the opening of O-Ringen City on July 19, so keep an eye on oringen.se before you head towards Arvika and O-Ringen Värmland.
Here you can find the final campsite assignment.
It is still possible to book campsites here.
If you are traveling by car to stages 1-4, you will need to purchase parking passes for those days. This does not apply to competitors in MtbO and Trail-O.
To book a parking pass ahead of time on oringen.se costs 20 SEK. About 2,800 spots are available at each arena. When you arrive, place your booking confirmation or the number of your parking pass under your windshield. Otherwise you will be charged an additional 150 SEK.
For stage 5, you can either pay for a spot at the blue parking lot near the arena, or park for free and walk 1,500-2,000m from the red parking lot to Arena Rackstad.
There will be a number of different ways to keep up with results during this year’s O-Ringen. You can use oringenonline.se to follow the competitions from wherever you may be. We have worked hard to make sure that there is enough capacity out at the arenas so that everyone can have access to live results using a mobile phone or a similar device.
In addition to that, there will be a number of dedicated results terminals located throughout the arenas. A traditional results board will also be available at O-Ringen City.
This year we will not be offering tents with results screens out at the arenas.
This year we have done away with paper tickets for most activities. After registering for activities such as your entries, string-O, childcare, and end-of-the-week parties online at oringen.se, all you need to bring with you is your name and booking confirmation number. Note that you need to provide the name of the person who made the reservation, which may differ from the person participating in the activity.
