Medical treatment during O-Ringen is completely free for participants and their company due to a cooperation between Region Östergötland and O-Ringen. During the stages at Arena Grosvad (Monday and Tuesday) and Arena Yxbacken (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), there will be a medical station at the arena run by Region Östergötland. It’s open from 8 am to 5 pm. (Note that it will be closed Wednesday 24th of July.)
At Arena Grosvad the medical station is in the dressing rooms behind the stands and at Arena Yxbacken in the ski clubs red warm shelter. Here you can get help with most medical issues and the things we can’t solve at the medical station will be referred to the right care institution. There will also be an x-ray at the medical station. It is only drop in and no booked appointments. It’s free for participants of O-Ringen and their companions.
If a problem should arise when the medical station is closed and it can’t wait, call 1177 for medical advice. That means regular health service with regular fees. You can reach the medical station on 010-104 50 02. O-Ringen have first aid-groups at first aid-locations in the forest on all stages and at the finish line for both OL and MTBO. The locations of the first aid-stations are marked by a red cross on the map. O-Ringen will arrange transport for injured runners from the forest back to the arena and the medical station. During the races automated external defibrillators are located at the first aid stations, by the finish line, the start line and the showers. During opening hours, they are available at O-Ringen Square, Participation Service and in two kiosks at the camping site. Near the camping site you can find them on the ground floor at Vattenverksvägen 12 by the bowling alley and on the ground floor in corridor C-D in Himmelstalundshallen.
For serious incidents, injuries or illnesses you must always call 112.
