Stage Start: MtbO-Classes

With the Stage Start option for mountain bike orienteering, you can select how far you will ride and how challenging the course will be on any day you want to compete.

If you only want to ride some of the stages or would like the freedom of selecting a different course every day, then Stage Start is the option for you. You can either sign up for Stage Start ahead of time or buy your entries directly at the competition arenas.

You can start whenever you want at each stage you participate in.

Stage Start classes for MtbO are available at the following arenas:

  • Stage 1 Arena Domsjö, Sunday, July 22 - Sprint
  • Stage 2 Arena Kempevallen, Monday, July 23 - Middle Distance
  • Stage 3 Arena Skyttis, Wednesday, July 25 - Long Distance
  • Stage 4 Arena Skyttis, Thursday, July 26 - Sprint
  • Stage 5 Arena Domsjö, Friday, July 27 - Long Distance

* Map scales 1:10 000 and:7 500 will be used for the middle distance and sprint days, respectively

The difficulty levels describe the quality of the predominant trail type that the course follows. "Difficult" courses follow trails with more roots and stones, while "Easy" courses mostly follow larger trails and gravel roads.
