I have received an accommodation confirmation notice with an address, but where are the accommodations located?

When I arrive at O-Ringen, how do I get the key to my accommodations?
 Each rental company and private landlord in Sälen has different methods for distributing keys for their accommodations. In general the keys can be picked up at the location where the accommodations are located. To know exactly, read the confirmation note you received from the rental agency/landlord, where key pick-up should be specified. If it is not clear, get in contact with the rental agency/landlord to agree upon how to pick up the keys.

We have booked accommodations together for our entire club, but I will be arriving before everyone else in the club. Can I pick up only my key?
Normally if the booking for one club has been made by one person, that person needs to pick up all the keys at one time. If you need to pick up keys individually, this needs to be agreed in advance with the rental agency and your club representative. Please get in contact with them to agree upon who will be picking up the keys for your club.

What should I do if I want to rent my accommodations for additional nights beyond those specified on my rental confirmation?
All extensions of rentals need to be agreed with the rental agency/landlord. To extend your stay get in touch with the rental agency/landlord via the e-mail address or telephone number on your confirmation note. Note that it may not be possible to extend the stay in all accommodations, it depends on whether or not they are booked the period adjacent to O-Ringen. Note also that there will most likely be additional charges for extending your stay.

I can see that my accommodations are not right next door to the O-Ringen bus stop, how can I use the O-Ringen buses anyhow?
First of all there are 2 different types of busses, the busses to the competition arena and the busses to the central O-Ringen town at Lindvallen.
The arena busses depart from 7 different stops from north to south (Stöten, Tandådalen, Högfjällshotellet, Lindvallen, Sälens by, Transtrand och Kläppen), and these busses go directly to the arena. To join the busses you can a) walk or bicycle to the bus stop from your accommodations or b) drive to the bus stop and park your car. There will be free parking at all arena bus stops.
The busses to O-Ringen town at Lindvallen start running at 15:00 weekdays (extended times on saturday and sunday) and these busses stop at a significantly greater number of stops since they use all normal Dalatrafik bus stops along the main road between Kläppen in the south and Stöten in the north. So here you can most likely walk to the closest bus stop and climb on the bus there. Note that these buses also stop at the same stops as the arena busses, so if need be you can also park your car at the same spot as for the arena busses and get on the bus there.

Can I purchase a bus pass when I arrive in Sälen?
Yes, it will be possible to purchase bus passes when entering the bus on day 1 or at the competition information center. However, we recommend that you order the bus pass ahead of time which can be done by getting in contact with the O-Ringen office.
 
What are the estimated travel times from the various accommodations areas to the arenas, i.e. how long in advance should I count on taking the bus?
Travel times from the various arena bus stops to the arenas will vary from 5 to 50 minutes, detailed information about this can be found in the program. The buses will start operating at 05:30 - 06:00 depending on which area you are traveling from and the first buses will arrive at the arena 1 1/2 hour before the first starting time.
My accommodations are between 2 arena bus stops, can a bus stop closer to my accommodations to pick me and others up, so that we don't have to transport ourselves to the arena bus stop?
No, unfortunately these buses can not stop at places other than the major stops. The arena buses are in caravans of 4 to ease logistics relative to other traffic. These logistics would suffer and the timetable would not be possible to maintain if one bus stopped along the way to pick up additional passengers,.

I plan on spectating at the World Cup sprint on Tuesday evening. What is the best way to get there and back?
The best way to get to and from the sprint is by bus. The busses to/from O-Ringen town will be operating as normal and it stops at Högfjällshotellet, There will also be extra buses operating from Lindvallen to Högfjällshotellet on tuesday evening. If you live at one of the other areas, the arena busses will make an extra stop at Högfjällshotellet on there way back to the accommodations areas. Following the sprint competition, 4 extra buses will continuously run in the various directions to transport people to their accommodations. You can also drive a car to the World Cup sprint but you then count on walking up to 1 km to the arena.

If I have any trouble with my accommodations while at O-Ringen who should I contact?
For normal problems and questions related to things like cleaning or water and electricity supply, contact your rental agent/landlord. Normally a telephone number for emergency problems will be listed in your confirmation or in the accommodations. For more serious problems like fire or flooding call the emergency number 112.

Can I set up a tent outside my cabin accommodations?
Open camping is not allowed, without first asking the landowner. The same is the case for tenting at a cabin or other accommodations, you first have to get permission from the rental agency or landlord. If you do want to tent camp the easiest is to book a camping spot via the O-Ringen office or at Kläppen, Stöten or Sälens Vandrarhem.

I haven't booked any accommodations yet, are there still camping spots available?
Yes there are still plenty of camping spots available at Tandådalen, both with and without electricity. Bookings can be made by contacting the O-Ringen office.
There are also still spots available in the Sälen Sports Hall  (incl. mattress). Booking of these spots can be done via the form which can be found in the accommodations menu on the homepage.
